The goal of this site is to create a community driven site where those of us using the Python programming language in the field of Biology can communicate, share ideas, and share code.

A good place to start is to sign up for the biology in python mailing list.

Also, you may want to read the notes from the SciPy 2007 Biology Birds of a Feather meeting which was organized by Titus Brown.
